I'm in the process of servicing our recently acquired '91 300SE. Have completed most service to "baseline" the maintenance routine. My question is, Where is the O2 sensor located? I'm new to MB's and can't spot the sensor where I would expect it to be (as in the numberous Fords I have owned).

Should be going into the exoust right before the catalick converter. Go underneath the car, it is screwd in (on top) the exoust pipe leading into the cat. A lil bit of pain in the a... to get it out.

I'm assuming the cats are the two units ~10 down the Y-pipe from the ex-manifold, that's where I expected to see the sensor. Is the section you are referring to between the cats and the center muffler?
Since it wasn't where I expected, I was unsure if MB had an alternate location for the sensor.
Bottom line, get off my tail and crawl under the car.
Thanks for your help.
