I have located a 1980 450SL with approx 80,000 miles on the engine. Will this engine work in my 1983 380SEL? Is there anything specific I should know about the 450 engine? Is this a practical swap or should I just restore the 450. The body and interior are in pretty rough sahpe but it is complete. The guy says I can drive it home. (approx 10 hours)Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks
