My Mecanic says wiring harness are bad in these cars. Is there a problem with the check engine light in these cars. The wiper has been acting up. it sticks as it it goes up in the center. Is there some sort of lubrication I can perform.

Yes. Turn the wiperswitch on and off again quickly ( to move the wiper out of the parked position).
Now, move the arm manually to the straight up & down position.
Pull out the bottom of the cover, at the base of the wiperarm.
Now, you can see the " piston " that makes your wiper do it's " little dance ".
Drop a few drops of light oil ( transmission fluid ) down onto the shaft & work the wiper back & forth by hand.
Re-install the rectangular cover.
That should do it.

on all three of your questions can be found some excellent post through the SEARCH function. not being a dork - but it really is kind of awesome what kind be gotten from this forum.

1) I am not sure what the model year cut-off date is for the end of wiring harness problems, your car could be O.K.

2) for the C.E. light go to an AUTZONE if they are available where you are and have then pull the codes, come back here with the numbers and find out what they indicate.

3) thw wiper info is right on, a little searching will find a URL with Baylor in the title that has pics (I think) on doing the wipers.
