201 Climate Control Units
 

Hey Guys!

On my 1988 190e, can I pull out the climate control unit and resolder the unit for proper function? I have seen that it can be done on 123´s. Can this also work for 201´s?

The CC unit is all electronic on that model. You can take the bottom cover off and look, but I didn't find anything wrong on the one in the TE when I did the evaporator this summer, so I left it alone. Soldering it would be a job and a half, anyway, as you need to apply a heat sink on the other side for everything but the connectors to prevent toasting the components.

I found that the sampler motor for the temp sensor wasn't properly attached to the hose. It works fine now (except for a blown seal on the compressor....).
