SL Manual Transmission Conversion

Hey!

Does Mercedes have a common bolt pattern for the transmission bell housing? I know the 6 cylinder 300SL had a manual transmission available in 1990-1993, can linkage and bellhousing be used to convert an eight cylinder 500 or V12 600SL to manual transmission? Does flywheel have same bolt pattern from 300 to 500 or V12 600? What kind of options are available for a SL transmission conversion? Any history of previous conversions?
