Air Filter Rubber Supports

I need to replace the Air Filter Housing rubber supports on my '95 500SEL. Before I attempt to remove the old ones, I would like to know if the supports are simply screwed into the valve covers, or if they are held in place with a nut inside the cover, which would require the removal of the valve covers to replace them.

Ben,
On the M119, they just screw in. If they are the originals, don't be surprised if the rubber center piece comes loose off the base. No matter, the base piece is a hex and can just be unscrewed.

I was wondering this as well. I have the M102 and the one on the valve cover came apart. I have the new rubber mount I just have not put it on yet for fear of unscrewing the old one and there being a nut that would fall into the head from the underside of the valve cover! So there is no nut per se that will drop down from the underside of the valve cover? Must be just threads in the valve cover or a nut welded to the bottom I guess!
