aux fan disassembly

I read a thread about rebuilding the aux fan on a 124, has anyone disassembled and replaced the bearing on an aux fan on a 97 E-320.
I pulled the assembly, and can't get the pulley, or the fan, off the motor. I think it is a reverse thread.... but I've beat on it left and right and can't get it to break loose.
The motor runs fine, just a bad bearing, I hate to spend almost 200 bucks if all it needs is a bearing.

Thanks
