Bought eBay MB services manuals. Help!

I bought a set of 5 CDs from eBay. They are supossed to be the original service manuals from MB. I installed them following the instructions and everything went according to plan. Then I tried to run it. I selected a car model, then went to the next screen and selected "All", and enabled all the checkboxes in the "types of information" box, then clicked "search" and got a message that said "nothing found". I tried the same with other car models to no avail. Can somebody help me out? What the hell is wrong with it? Thanks in advance.

These can be a royal pain. Either you have the wrong browser, the wrong (or missing) software pluggin, or the wrong OS. You may also need to have the appropriate disks in the CD drive when you look, too!

I use a Mac and NONE of the browser programs will run on anything except Safari, and that will only give me the table of contents, I get the same error message.

Write down the numbers for whatever procedure you are looking for, then use Adobe Acrobat to fish up the actual file from the disk if nothing else works.

psfred:

Maybe we have different kinds of service manuals. Mine came in a set of 5 CDs (4 CDs for the applications plus 1 for an update). As far as I know, there is no use of web browsers involved. The application "PM" does everything.
