93 Mercedes 300SE When I move the Sunroof switch to pop-up and open the sunroof I hear the motor but the sunroof doesn't move. It pops up on warm days but seems to be stuck in some one. What's the possible problem?

Sounds like it needs to be lubed and most likely cleaned. Only use the specific Mercedes lube paste. A dealer will sell you some if you go to the service department and ask for a little bit. Don't waste your time using something else.

your sunroof design might be different from mine. I have a 300D 78 and they use that sunroof cable to retract that sunroof back and forth. my sunroof is barely closing and opening most of the time, but i can hear that sunroof motor kicking in. Mechanic had told me to replace that cable to get that sunroof up to speed, but since i've kept tinkering around with it, i blew out my sunroof motor
