throttle cable adjustment

In my 230E, I tightened the throttle cable as the accel pedal had an inch freeplay, in this new setting when the accel pedal is fully released it is not pressing the microswitch anymore, does it matter??? I attached the picture;

A: tells about the microswtch,
B: is the location of throttle assembly (is it ok)

One more thing i add here that the accel pedal is not pressing the kickdown button now.

It is too tight. That microswitch tells the fuel system you have the throttle closed and that then brings the idle down to the normal level. If you are not hitting the Downshift Switch you are most likely not hitting the WOT Switch on the throttle body either so you are not enjoying the extra fuel enrichment cause by that switch being engaged either. Set you throttle cable the proper way, which in the quick and dirty method is as follows. First loosen it so that it activates that switch on the linkage. Then have someone push the throttle down to just before activating the kickdown switch. It should now have the throttle plate open fully and engaging the WOT switch while the spring will allow for the kickdown to be depressed. You can tell the throttle is open by seeing if the throttle linkage can go any further by hand. If it still has room to go then you will need to adjust the portion of the cable at the actual gas pedal in the car.

1. where is the WOT Switch, isn't is the same kickdown switch??

2. how to adjust accel pedal freeplay, coz when i see the pedal in action (moving in freeplay) it is actually pulling the throttle assembly but not running the engine and when the freeplay is over (pedal is pressed against free play), here the throttle assembly moves something else attached to it and make the engine run.

3. The throttle is doing mechinical function (like in carburator cars) or doing electrical, if so then it doesn't matter how much you open the throlle, this is ECU that will decide to send fuel to the cylenders based on RPM and may be a lot of other things that i don't know.
