W203 How to remove the panel under the center air nozzle
I am trying to remove the wooden panel in my 2001 W203 C320's center console (please see photo) without breaking anything.
I have read these instructions. This document and WIS say that I should remove the center air nozzle. Is this really required? Sounds like quite a nasty task to do in order to do something, which needs to be repeated pretty often. I think I have seen somebody removing the panel by removing the air nozzle frame only... Do I remember right? I also removed the ash tray and tried pulling the panel off from the hooks on the lower part of the panel. This would have allowed me to pull the panel down and release it from under the air nozzle frame. Similarly as you do when you remove the panel which is in between the ash tray and center arm rest. But this seemed to require bending the panel too much, and I do not want to crack it ![]() Experience-based tips, how to remove the center console panel appreciated ![]()
