Brake Pads for 92 300E-What Brand?
I need suggestions for a quiet, dustless brake pad for my 92 MBZ 300E. Don't really want the original Textar or MB. Too much dust. Any suggestions???

True...this is a common question posted here.
But the lazy man's response would be to try the Mintex pads...noticeable less brake dust, and most of all, eliminated the annoying squeal I used to get from the Pagids. I will warn you that the pads that produce less dust are of a harder compound, and therefore can wear your rotors out sooner. Since rotors are designed to be replaced on these cars every 2 or three pad changes, it may even itself out. |
Textar T298 is the OE compound!

...but not long ago, I could only get the Mintex or Pagids from FastLane. Since then, I've noticed a wide variety that have been made available! :D Good thing, since I have a set of rears (Pagids of course) on the W163 and W124 that still announce their arrival at stops! |
PBR Deluxe - a little higher pedal effort, but no dust, long wearing, and they don't chew up the rotors.

Which Brakes for 92 E Class
I agree with Duke - had the PBR Deluxe on a year now and no dust. Makes washing the car fun again.
