W140 boot lock - key won't turn

Does anyone know how to dismantle the lock of a W140 boot (trunk). The key no longer turns in the lock so it can only be opened via the central locking (fine until you have a drained battery!!).
I have manged to remove the whole lock mechanism but cannot dismantle the tumbler into which the key inserts. How do you do this?

What is the likelihood of being able to fix/repair it? or is it a case of ordering a new one from the dealer.

Thanks, Ben.

Hi

There is something on this on the archives but I can't find it anymore but you have to hammer out the outer trim piece to get at the innards. I had the same problem but did not open up the guts. I used some ATF and lightly tapped and turned the key until it released whatever was jammed. Took about half and hour for me.
