my 300se w140 trouble with stating engine sometimes

Mercedes : engine starts and sometimes wont start on my 300se w140

i have been having this strange problem with my 300se w140 merc ,it will sometimes start straight away on a cold and warm engine and sometimes it wont start at all...i have changed all the engine harness ,ive called my road service mechanic and he has found that no power was going to the injector switches and then it starts normal again..some mechanics told me it might be the ignition control unit which is worth over $10,000 ,(i know big money) but if that was the problem why does it sometimes start and sometimes not...very strange..has anyone had this problem before ???? i didnt mention ,i had recondition engine done previously to this car, would the car give this trouble if something wasnt done right? the engine sounds great ,and the oil temp is good and the water temp is normal too...
