Instrument Cluster Gauges Died

I have a 1985 300SD Turbo. Recently the instrument cluster gauges went dead while I was driving. The only thing that works on the dash pod is the clock. No ammeter, no tach, no temp, oil pressure, nothing. The turn signals also stopped working, not just in the instrument cluster, but on the outside of the vehicle. Emergency flashers work. I checked the fuses and the connections to the instrument cluster but still nothing. Can anybody clue me in as to what's going on? Thanks.
