124 Mono Wiper parking high

The wiper on my '93 300e has recently began to park higher and higher on my windshield as I turn it off. I've had no work done to it that may have caused this to suddenly start happening. When it is turned back on, the wiper does complete its downward sweep and works fine otherwise. Anyone have an idea on what causes this and how it can be fixed?
