cruise control 1990 300te

Hi

my cruise control works for a few seconds when i turn it on, and then it becomes erratic and doesn't hold the speed. is this an amp problem?

Increase the tension on the cable that is located under the air cleaner and see if that helps, let me know as I have the same problem drop me an e mail if possible
