Another Benz!

I recently picked up an 85 380se w/204k miles. It's more of a hobby car than anything else. It runs great other than a high idle problem. The car has been sitting for two years. Based on my searches on this forum I ordered a new idle control unit. We'll see how that turns out. My question today is on the cruise control. It didn't work at all when I got the car. Again based on my searches here, I pulled the module and re-soldered the joints. It worked fine for a few minutes. Now every time I set a speed, the car continues to accelerate to over 85 mph! The decel function works, the off function works from the switch, and the brakes disengage it normally. I can't see any connections touching or shorted. Any ideas???
By the way, I've replaced several parts on this car in the last week or so, master cylinder, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, brakes and belts. I got all of my parts from Autohuasaz.com. I got all of my orders within a couple of days and shipping was free with orders over $50. Pretty impressive I thought.
