Rear window SEC gremlins...
Hello!
I have an '88 560 SEC, with a non-functioning seatbelt extender. Anyways, as I was fixing the seatbelt extender, I pried the rear right power window switch a little too hard and it shattered into a bunch of tiny pieces (the electricals contained within the switch). The window was down when that happened, and I have not been able to get it back up, making the car basically undriveable for fear of getting broken into. Is there any way at all to manually raise the window until I can order a new switch, OR, is there any way to bypass the old switch, and raise the window via the center console? A wiring diagram for the rear-right side of the coupe ( or just a color picture to make sure the wires are in their correct places) would be wonderful. Thank you very much for your help Paul R. |

There are 2 wires going into the plug that connects to the window motor, one controls the up function one connects the down function, get a long insulated wire and hook it up to power or positive side of battery, very carefully apply this power to the wires leading to the motor, you have a 50/50 chance of getting it right on the first try, apply power until the window is raised to the fully extended position
