The official Mercedes Benz color is Grey/silver- the color of a car with no paint at all. Mercedes Benz decided when they first started to race cars many years ago that if a car had no paint on it it would be faster. So to prevent a bare metal car from rusting out they started painting them silver/grey to simulate this paintless effect. If your car is this color, you have a true Mercedes Benz.
