124 Series Cruise Control

Good Day,

I own a 1988 Mercedes 300TE, 124 series, American Specs with 182,000 miles. The cruise control is no longer operating at a steady speed - it pulses. I have cleaned and lubricated the linkage but did not solve the problem.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
