Help-Fuel Pumps-300E??????

What year and models will the 2 Fuel pumps from a 1990-300E fit or work on??? Do all the gas 124's use the double fuel pump??? thanks Jim

MB went to dual pumps late 89 on the 103 engines when they increased the opening pressure on the injectors. You'll have to check with MB parts dept to see what models.

I just removed a pair from a 1987-300E. Do you think they were retrofitted???
Do you think it is possible to use the dual pumps on the early models???Thank you for your earlier reply....Jim

MB has been screwing around with fuel pumps for years. I believe it is because they have a glut of engineers and are under some sort of contract to keep them employed. They keep changing the length, the diameter of the pump, and the diameter of the inputs and outputs. I've been through this many times. What are you tyring to do anyway? If you are just trying to replace a single pump with a dual setup, there is no advantage.

Peter, I am selling a dual fuel pump assembly(1990) on Ebay and a potential buyer asked if they would work on a 1993-124-300E....So I started this thread hoping to answer him and to find out what 300's the dual pumps would work on since I have a 87 and a 90 300E that I am parting out...thanks...Jim
