I've just purchased a '88 560SEL. It idles around 1800 rpm. It's fuel injected so not sure where to start to correct this. Any similar complaints? Suggestions?

Also, the sunroof tilt's up in the back but does not open nor does it close completely. What could cause this.

Are you sure that the sunroof is actually operating incorrectly? The sunroof on my '85 300D only opens by dropping down and then sliding back into the roof. When I took a 560SEL for a spin I tried the sunroof and noticed that only the rear of the sunroof popped up about 2 inches to let in some air. I thought it should open up like my 300D. When I turned the switch another way it did drop down and then slid back into the roof.

Just a thought.
