High RPM woes...

Ever since I bought my car, The rpms in idle are up to 2000 revolutions. Recently I discovered that if I disconnected the idle control valve unit, the rpms settled to about 1000r and about 500 in drive which kinda vibrates the car. Anyways I figured it was the idle control valve so I ordered a used one of ebay, and installed that today....and no difference, rpm still surge to 2000. Which is not good considering when I pop it into "R" it spins the tires. So, next I am about to change to Spark plug wires, which I am 99.999% sure will not do anything to solve the problem.

The breather hose coming from the fuel acumulator that connects to the larger hose connected to the valve cover and air box is fine. I had read earlier that having those hoses lose or broken can cause idle problems.

I have checked the OVP and the two fuses seem fine.

I dont know what to check next......

I would really consider taking a better look at the ovp...

The fuses may be fine, but the relay's internals may be all corroded and shot...

When there is no idle speed control, but the engine cold starts okay and there is no ABS light the first thing you check is the throttle valve switch.
