1989 300se Hesitation When Hot
I just bought an 89 300se. it loses power and has a bad hesitaion/miss when it gets hot. Here's what happens. The car runs fine when cold. after about 15-20 minutes of driving the temp gauge goes up almost to 120 degrees and the car has a bad hesitation or miss. I changed the plugs, wires, cap and rotor. I also cleaned the fuel injection system. None of this helped. I also dropped the catylitic converter pipe to check for a restriction. There is none and this didn't help either. I did a compression test while I had the plugs out and all cylinders tested at 125 pounds. Anyone have any idea what this could be? I also changed the oil and filter. There is no antifreeze in the oil or vise-versa. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
