I was told by my MB Mechanic that my steering dampener is shot. I wasn't surprised, it has kind of felt like that for a while. I was under the car yesterday changing the oil and I saw the little critter. It looks really easy to get at and replace. Will it really be as easy as it looks? Are the bolts probably seized up and rusted? Also, will there be any alignment considerations if I change it myself?
Thanks

If it is like my 300E, yes it is as easy as it looks. Two bolts and then you are done. NO aligment required.
