1985 300DT...when should my electric fan come on?
I'm new to 123's...this is my first, and I have it about a month...it was very well cared for by the previous owner.
When is the electric fan supposed to come on? Mine doesn't seem to come on at all and my A/C is a wee bit warm...I suppose these are related? This looks like an easy fix if the fan is bad (is there a way to tell if it's the fan and not something else?)...where can I buy one and about what can I expect to pay? Thanks very much. |

partial reply
There is a temperature switch located by the a/c dryer at the pass. front under the hood. Not sure if the fan should come on without the a/c being on. If the system (a/c) is low, you're probably not going to generate enough heat at the switch to trigger the fan. Get the a/c serviced first, then see what happens, Paul.

As posted the fans ONLY come on when the A/C drier switch reaches 126F.
