My '87 420 SEL has been idling rough and the shop where I take it said the intake manifold gasket needs replacing. Cost, $1000. I would like to do it myself and save my hard earned cash. I have done most other maintenance on the car including replacing the timing chain and guides, brakes, water pump, and the routine maintenance items. Is the intake manifold gasket any more difficult that the above? If I do it myself are there any tips or tricks?

Thanks in advance
Bob U.
