I don't think that's his car, it has a cali plate on it, lino is from canada.

Oh really? Sorry, haven't being paying attention to details HAHA! Anyway, is the car in the picture with flared fenders or is it my imagination?

That's not my car :P. If you look at post #28, there is a link to where those pics came from. They belong to 2 members in the 500ecstacy forum. I think 1 is from Sweden and the other is from California.

Those cars are W124 500s. They come with flared fenders.

I've Msg'd eBay Buyers

In order to gain some insight into the quality, fitment & brandname of these new 124 headlights, I've sent 2 of the buyers an email through eBay.
I figured that if they were satisfied (or otherwise) with their $$$considerable purchase, they may be willing to share their enthusiasm and some details of the lights.
Judging by the 1100 or so hits on this thread, I feel there may be the interest of the possibility of a group buy through an importer down the track.
I'll let the board know if/when I receive any replies. Marc.

hi guys, a got some crystal clear headlights a couple of weeks ago and they pretty good, still haven't perfected the beam pattern but they do reflect lots of light. heres some pics...

Marc Downunder 07-06-2005 07:57 AM

Your new lights look awesome

Congratulations EternalE on getting hold of a pair of those good looking lights.
I'd love to buy a pair myself, but that seller on eBay you bought them from wants US$250 to ship them to Australia - about twice the price of what it would normally cost to airmail glass headlights to me from US. He appears to be attempting to make the most out of having a new 124 product, not yet widely available commercially.
Tell us - did they come in a box with the brand name/part number stamped on it, or did he send them in a plain box to conceal their origin? We are all interested in finding out where/who manufactures them.
If you can let us know the details, perhaps I can locate an importer/supplier over here in Oz.
Cheers.

actually, i got them from someone else on ebay. they came in black boxes that said "eagle eye performance lamps". had a picture of a bmw and mustang with custom lights. i think they were made in taiwan but have to check the stamp on the lights, write back later....

Beautiful! You have the newer style lights on the older drill/hood . How is the quality?
I'd love to see a larger size closeup if possible. Is there any way you can make that happen? I can post the pics if you want.

hihosilver 07-07-2005 04:45 PM

at $200 yes at $400 I don't them that bad, my 86 factory units are getting chips and small cracks but still work

Johnhef 07-07-2005 07:43 PM

Those are pretty attractive. If I hadn't just bought my euros less than a year ago...

here's the closeup for lino...as far as quality, they pretty good, tough polycarbonate and gray plastic backs. they do seem cheaper then my original boschs, but then again there's nothing better than bosch. only thing thing that bothers me is the gap between the grill and lights :o ...the were meant for the 94-95's but still fit..anybody know where i can get a newer style hood with grill for cheap...thanks

hihosilver 07-08-2005 12:50 AM

the pic on ebay shows a chrome piece between the light and hood did yours come with it ?
