little metal flag
I repacked the front bearings on my 1988 300e. But on one
side, there was a small metal flag like item that broke off. It was located at the end of the spindle and was easily bendable. What is it and is it crucial to the function of the bearing assembly? Thanks in advance, bluebenz |

To the best of my knowledge it isn't crucial to the bearing assembly, I believe it is a static suppressor for the radio.
