Have you checked to see if it is plugged in?

I feel like the guy who can't figure out what is wrong with his computer, only to have the help desk ask "is it plugged in?". So at the risk of looking like that complete idiot...

Where is the fuse for the heated seats on my 94 E500? The main fuse box and the owners manual just state it is an "external fuse". I really have looked, but with the way this engine bay is crammed it is possible that I missed it, or maybe it is hidden in some other area. I had a similar problem about a year ago when I had trouble starting the car: it was showing symptoms of sudden death, intermittently, and was fixed for $5.00 worth of fuses by MB. But I never found out where the fuses they replaced lived, they certainly were not in the main box.

If you feel it necessary to rant about what a stupid question this is, please do so quickly and then give me your answer. Its worth the humiliation.

Thanks.

"now I see", said the blind man

Thanks, you are spot-on. It's a big fat line fuse, can't read the amps but I assume it is 80, I will take it to MB to get a new one. Now, I wonder why it blew...
