Vacuum Hell

I just bought a 1988 260E. This is my secong MB. I used to have a 240D and loved every bit of it. This 260E has an erratic idle. When I looked under the hood, I noticed the air cleaner is gone. I'd bet the idle problems are associated with a vacuum leak, but I don't have a clue what goes where. Any help?

Read this ---> http://dieselgiant.com/mercedesvacuumtroubleshooting.htm

I too have vaccume leaks, but i could still shut my car off... I tested the vacuume off the M/C, and it was bouncing between 0 and 3HG. And now I have to use the lever to shut my car off

I hate vacuume
