Question CLK-320 1998 CHASSIS 208 "I give up"

Hello everybody.
I just cant figure out what is wrong with my 1998 clk-320.
Just recently the past month my engine light came on. Although I did not notice at the time anything wrong whatever the problem is it has progressed to more noticiable conditions.

At times now when I come to a complete stop the car idles very low and sometimes will even stall , shut off. It does start right back up though. I have just noticed that when I start the car up it seems to have a low speed miss. I should have noticed that before but for some reason unless you are looking for a problem one may have missed that , at least I did.

I have replaced the gas filter and have checked the resistance on the coils. That was my best guess as to what the problem could be.

Can anybody out there shed some light on to what I may look for next? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Best thing you can do is have it scanned for fault codes and get a printout.

Because your check eng light has come on, you have all the diagnostic information you need.

This information may not give you the exact cause of your problem, but will at least give you a good guide.

ozzy.
