Hello there,

I submitted a parts request to the parts shop for a right taillight housing for my wife's '75 280c last weekend, and still haven't received ANY INFO OR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT of the request! Is this normal? Are they really taking parts orders? What's the deal here? I'm about ready to go to the local dealer. Comments, please!

Richard:
I would email them and find out what is going on! I have ordered from them a number of times, and usually been given a tracking number, price quote, or email within a few minutes to a couple of hours.

Is it for the engine or the car?

The GM parts may take a little longer to research. Try again.

I've submitted parts requests and had it take a couple of days to get a response, but the response was always right on the nose, and they even answered some other questions I had in general about if the parts would fix what I thought they would.

I will be ordering new pads and discs for my car sometime next week from the partsshop.

Price whatever it is you are buying at the dealer then price it at partsshop. I'm sure you will be ordering from partsshop once you see the excellent prices.

I got your e-mail today and we'll reply Monday. It looks like your earlier request fell between the cracks. Sorry about that!

Well ordering from partsshop is excellent, they have very competitive prices, shipping is kind of pricey though. I have had a few parts requests that have not been answered but I have been pleased with ordering from here.

Parts shop is pretty good at getting the stuff to you and responding. I ordered some inner tie rods for a Toyota MR2 for a friend from Wrenchhead.com on Jan 13,2001 and Jan 22, 2001 they E-mailed me that the parts were special order and would be expected to ship on February 7!!!!.
I let them know how unhappy I was and have not yet heard back from them. In the parts business you need some stuff right away sometimes.
Parts shop is one of the better E-businesses.
All you Parts shop regulars, please buy from parts shop, you won't regret it.
