Anyone know anything about Gabriel Struts with VST Technology, I need to replace mt struts on my 300E. I most likely will sell the "Old Girl" in the near future, so $100.00 for a pair is better that $120.00-$136.00 for one. Then again if reportys are unfavorable, I will go back to original plan and get Bilstein. Either the "comfort" ones or the "HD" ones?

Any input would be appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken, both Boge and Bilstein were OE strut supplieres to MB, same as with BMW, so you can get Boge's at a great price and and up with struts that are generally 95% as good as Bils but for a lot less Bills

Otherwise I have also had very good luck with KYB's not sure about the w124, but KYB's IMO are about 97-98% as good as the Bilstein HD, bt a whole lot less, even less than Boge at times.

Plus they don't wear out, I have two Jags with KYB's for over 5 years and 100K trouble free miles, note the lightweight of this bunch reigns in at 4540lbs...fatso is +500lbs...no leaks yet and I do drive em hard through the switchbacks.

I just found a deal on KYB's struts and shocks (the whole set) for my 300E on eBay for a little over $200. If you just need struts, you can get the set and sell the shocks and come out pretty good.
