ASR/ABS bleeding procedure?
What is the correct ABS/ASR brake fluid replacment and bleeding sequence/procedure for a 1993 500E with ASR?
I will be using a Speedi-Bleed set at 2-Bar. I'm changing out all the brake-lines, and would like to know the following: 1) do I need to make the "master brake cylinder switchover valve bypass wiring-harness"? 2) do I bleed the ASR first, and then the brake calipers, or the other way around? I have the factory manual, but I'm confused. The manual wants to user the "bypass wiring harness" when replacing the fluid, but when bleeding the fluid, it doesn't call for it. TIA, :-) neil 1988 360TE AMG 1993 500E |

You connect a hose to the pump at the bleeder and BE SURE THE KEY IS OFF! Then just slowly crack it loose to let out the accumulator. When you restart, it will refill automatically.
