Headlight glass replacement, signal removal
I got a new passenger side head light glass (Bosch) for my 1993 W140. From what I can see, It lookes like I have to remove the turn signal lens first? I just don't see how to do it? Any suggestions?
Thanks, Steve 1993 500sel |

I'll take a look tonight when I attempt this job again. It looked like the turn signal lens is just held in by two tabs that slide out and not any nuts etc to turn? Maybe I just didn't notice last night. I couldn't even get near or see near anything around the turn signal to loosen or press on a tab.
Thanks, Steve |

Look from the inside of the engine comparment, there should be a plastic tab/clip that will release the TS assembly and it slides out in the forward direction. New one should just be installed lining up the two tangs you see with the slots and sliding into position until you hear the tab/clip "click"

Howard Johnson is right about Emer Johnson being right! (Blazin Saddles quote). It was just a finger tab to release the marker signal. Job went smooth after having all the correct information.
Thanks again crew!!!!! Steve ![]() |
