Just curious
I have a 300 SD, does the SD signify that it's a turbo? Or would I need to note that it's a 300 SD Turbo? Trying to avoid sounding like a moron! Thanks

1981 300 SD Turbo 390,000 miles
My mom's father-in-law bought it new, then my mom's husband had it for a while, and now it's mine. First week I had it someone hit the drivers door and took off!  Other than that the body is great. As for the interior, the backseat needs to be redone and a couple of minor things. I love that iconic big body Benz look. My goal is to get it back to it's original posh condition. Thanks in advance for the help.

S Class, Diesel. For the non MB person it's good to note it's turbo - like in a newspaper ad.

the 300SD was the first model to have the turbo engine, as early as 1978...right? The 300TD got them in 1981 and the 300D and 300CD got them in 1982.
