190e 16v TPS question for techs

16v problems are often due to the TPS right? So I tested it:

The actual Throttle Position Sensor works fine for both idle and full throttle (0 ohms in each position and open circuit with infinite resistance for each switch in between).

However, when all the plugs are connected up to it and I test the resistances at the backs of the plugs, all is not so clear cut. Both switches are closed to 0 ohms correctly; however, the full-throttle pins show a resistance of only about 20 kOhms rather than infinite resistance. This is being introduced by the EZL ignition unit (it seems the full throttle switch is connected to it as well as to the the ECU).

My question is, could this be interpreted as a closed switch by the ECU and be causing a problem? Or is it the norm?

My slight flat spot and turbo-style throttle response continue....

thanks techs, I'm learning a lot from you guys and by myself, hopefully the more 16v knowledge we have here the less work you guys will have :p
