Trailing Arm Mount Bushing; Rear Trailing Arm to Rear Subframe

ReplacingTrailing Arm Mount Bushings; Trailing Arm to Rear Subframe :

The trailing arm mount bushings are shot on my 69 220D/8. I've looked and studied the structures involved, that is, one end to frame and the other end to wheel and it's stabilization. My question is, am I correct in thinking that I can take a floor jack (with secondary safety) and put slight pressure on the trailing arm near the frame, lubricate the threaded bolt for easier removal, remove the bold, position new bushings and slide the bolt back through and tighten?
