Gassing my SLK
When filling my slk, I did'nt notice that the pump mechanism wasn't working. Unknown to me the gas tank was pressurized. Since then the car runs rough, runs "ok" for the first couple of miles, then very rough. Stop for while and the whole things starts again. Any ideas?

filling gas tank
Whether the station's pump eventually worked or not doesn't have any relationship with your present problem, unless the station's pump delivered contaminated gasoline to your tank or you're running out of gas. As our other forum member said, do clarify what your problem is and how you think it is related to your attempt to fill your tank.

Please clarify and although it probably does not make a difference in this case please always post the year and model of your car and if you have an optional engine post that as well. Milage also gives us a hint.
Now when you say preassureised. Do you mean that you opend the cap and heard preasure escaping, That's OK. Just a shot in the dark. Try a bottle or two of Cheveron Techron injector cleaner. Read the directions, you may need two bottles. Let us know how you made out John Roncallo |
