Procedures for changing MAS sensor on W202

I had the check engine light come on on my 99 C230K sedan last week. I had the codes read and MAS sensor was the only one that came up. I noticed ever since I got the car that it became more sluggish and not getting its full boost from the kompressor. Would the new MAS correct this?

Anyways..is there a special procedure to put the new MAS in such as disconnecting battery to reset the ECU or do I just simply replace it?

Thanks.

FWIW, I've replaced more than one on my former VWs, same type of Bosch part. All I did was carefully remove the connector to it (gently open the release with a screwdriver) and unscrew the whole thing from the intake pipe. The hex screws are part of the assy and you dont remove those, ust remove the entire part from the intake (phillips). Shouldnt need to rset anything. I'm planning to replace mine soon as well due to similar issues.

Its a real easy replacement.

Should not need to reset anything. After driving with the new one for a while, the car should be smart enough to figure that its not broken anymore.
