1992 190E 2.6 - please help me id this tranmission line (picture)
Folks,
Removed the oil pan cover a couple of days ago and see that this flexible rubber line just behind the radiator is leaking (see picture). It's wrapped in some coiled wire and I believe if I replace this short line, my ATF leak problem will be solved. Does anyone know what this piece is called? Or do I need to remove it and take it to the dealer? Thanks for any input. regards, Hans (Atlanta, GA) |

That looks like the front transmission cooler line going into the radiator. When buying the part you must specify which line, there are two lines.

Great - thanks so much. A follow-up question - BMW has something called an ETK CD - it shows all the parts and diagrams for a specific model, along with all part numbers. In fact, someone has posted it for free access here: www.realoem.com.
Does Mercedes have something analogous? That would be tremendously helpful. Thanks. Hans |
