How to remove engine on '95 S280?
I need to remove the engine on my gray market S280 with a 5-speed manual transmission. I don't have a lift, just jack stands. Should I first take the transmission out and then the engine? It would seem very difficult taking them out together being so long.

With the radiator and evaporator removed it would make the engine/transmission removal much simpler on that chassis.

I just got it recently and it will be months before its ready for pictures. From what I understand, the S280 was the only S-class W140 that came with a 5-speed which was quite rare even in Europe. None were sold here in the states so this could be the only one in the whole country. So those of you with a 5-speed 300E who thought that was a rare car...
