ASD light 1995 S350D

My asd light is staying continually on. I check the fluid level in the hydraulic reservoir and the read end. They are fine. Also, the traction control light on the speedometer quit working as well. My car is a 1995 S350D. Please tell me the diagnostic procedure. Thanks!
