Question 95 C280 Modulator Valve Help.

Does The Tranny Have To Be Dropped To Replace The Modulator Valve?

No, the modulator valve is behind the modulator. You may have to remove the cross member and drive shaft then pry down on the transmission to have room. Why do you want to replace it?

You my also need the compensating plastic pin behind the modulator, if it’s broken, check it.


Are you sure it’s broken, in my 35 years of rebuilding transmissions I can honestly say, I have never seen a broken vacuum modulator, caused by a foreign object
