Water in trunk! W202

My W202 C280 has moisture accumulating in the trunk, more specifically within the right recess where the factory CD Changer is mounted. The fabric lining the recess area is very damp, wet to touch. My question is how this moisture is getting into the trunk?

I know on my w123 there are water drain channels throughout the car that can clog up, and result in a back up amount of moisture accumulating at a specific location on the car depending on what specific chanel is clogged. Is the W202 the same? I have never noticed this dampness before, and I have owned the car since new.

Any help/guidance appreciated!

False alarm!

Partner left car wash bucket in trunk that hadnt been fully emptied.....
Guess the fix calls for a dry towel.
