1998 c280

I took my c280 1998 bez into the shop to get something checked out and they told me that it needed a new oil cooler. They wanted to charge 510.00 for the part and labor. I declined to do that and jusy decided to buy the part and I am having my father install the part this weekend. Being in upstate NY what the damn weather being bad all the time I have not had the chance to do the project. anyone have any idea how long this should take? It looks like it will be pretty simple. anyone give me some tips to get this done the fastest?

I have the same car (98 C280), I take it that this 'oil cooler' is for the transmission oil, and not the engine oil? I ask, because I didn't know there was an engine oil cooler. Where and how was it damaged that it needs replacement? Could it be something as simple as a leaking connector (just tighten)?
