91 560 SEL con't question about rear suspension

I thought if the accumulators were bad the rear end would bounce... my car is stiff and does not bounce over tracks, etc. Rear struts are not leaking but I can't find if I have ever had them replaced in the last 14 years. Should I go ahead and have new accumulators installed and see what happens? Thank you for your time and input
