What kind of spare do '95 S-class use?
I recently got a '95 S280 gray market car that is missing the spare. What did they use originally? The same aluminum wheel and tires as the other four, or a black painted space saver steel or aluminum wheel. Currently the car has 1997 style 6 hole aluminum wheels but I assume they are not original.

All of the MB's that our family has owned have come with a 5th wheel/tire the same as the other four. So it should have a stock 16" 8 hole wheel and tire in the trunk as a spare.

Mercedes has been doing things quietly, some late 90s US versions come with a "Black" steel wheel. My 01 E Wagon did, I found another matching wheel. I was in a European 211 with no spare only a bottle of inflater and sealer, The compartment was extra storage. I also think they are doing some "doughnuts"

Well at least in the US the W140's came with a 5th wheel. So your spare would be an 8 hole if thats what it came with. Or the later ones had the sport wheels.
